Anne Frank, The Diary of a Young Girl |
Not just a character, but as a real person who portrayed the role of Anne Frank in real life, this girl left a permanent mark in my heart.
This was a required book to read for students in the United States. I finished my school up through the first year of college in the Philippines so this book was never a required reading to me as a young student.
I did read it when I was around twenty and it brought me to tears. Anne was an intelligent and sweet girl who wrote her entries in the form of a diary documenting everyday life even in hiding. You've got to know her.
This art entry is my hurried calligraphy using a page in my journal and my daughter's calligraphy pen. As you can see, I am art-challenged. :)
